(I) Zhuhai Yacht Industry

There are totally over 20 yacht manufacturers in Zhuhai, of which, there are 16 yacht manufacturers in the Jinwan Yacht Industrial Zone (Pingsha) of Zhuhai and 4 manufacturers engaged in the yacht supporting facilities. At present, 8 manufacturers have put into operation and even established their status and influence in the yacht industry. Now it has become China’s largest medium- to high-grade yachts production base with the highest grade and density and high-performance functional yachts production base. The famous yacht enterprises that have been put into production in Jinwan District as follows: Brunswick, Jieteng, Duoyang, Tricon Marine, IAG, South China Yacht, Golden Island Yacht, Germany ZF ship driving system, etc.

(II) Location of Zhuhai Yacht Industrial Zone

Zhuhai Yacht Industrial Zone is located in Pinsha Town of the Jinwan District, at the west side of the Jiti Gateway of the Pearl River Outfall, 32 sea miles from Hong Kong, 18 sea miles from Macau, 18 kilometers away from Zhuhai Airport and 10 kilometers away from Zhuhai Airport. Besides, Zhuhai Yacht Industrial Zone features perfect infrastructures, convenient transport, developed water system and convenient river and marine transport.

(III) Recent Development Plan of Zhuhai Yacht Industrial Zone

1. Increase new construction land, expand yacht manufacturing base and build the public pier.

It’s going to increase the industrial land of 500,000 square meters and introduce the enterprises engaged into the yacht manufacturing and supportive facilities within 1-2 years. In addition, it is going to plan and construct the public pier as well as the specialized yacht business service centre which can provide components display & sale, policy consultation, business and other services.

2. Construct the yacht club and build yacht entertainment & business centre
Relying on Zhuhai Ocean Spring Resort and Zhuhai yacht industry, Pinsha Town introduces the South China Yacht Club project, which is adjacent to Ocean Spring Resort with a total investment of RMB 300 million, 30,000 square meters for land and 200,000 square meters for waters specifically. The project has the following main sub-projects: yacht club, yacht sales, yacht exhibition, yacht driving training, yacht business center, etc. The project will commence within the year and complete in 2008.

(IV) Development Orientation and Service of Zhuhai Yacht Industrial Zone

1. Orientation and target

The main development orientation of the Zhuhai Yacht Industrial Zone is the production and sales of large, medium and small sized luxurious yachts, supported by the high performance and multi-functional ships. Besides, based on the production base and sales center of the related supportive industries, it develops such industries as yacht club, yacht driving training, yacht maintenance and yacht exhibition. 

The target is to become China’s largest yacht manufacturing base with the highest grade and an important status in the world, and China’s important yacht tourism, exhibition and sales center.

2. Government services

The Pinsha government has always stuck to providing professional, efficient and thoughtful professional services for pre-production, mid-production, post-production and so on; coordinating relations among customs, industry and commerce, taxation, labor and employment, social security, entry-exit inspection and quarantine, immigration, etc., so as to create a sound environment for investment and operation.
